Mellow Beans

This is the best brunch café in Melbourne City! The space is big and comfortable, so even during the busy noon rush, it still feels private and not overcrowded. We tried several dishes, and all were delicious and beautifully presented. Cindy, the owner, and her staff were very friendly, making the experience even better. They use secret recipes, like homemade dressings, hashbrowns, and amazing sourdough, which made the food extra special. It’s a great spot for a quick meal or catching up with friends. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

Had an amazing breakfast here. I ordered chili scrambled eggs and it far exceeded my expectations! I’m a big fan of scrambled eggs, and this is definitely among the best I’ve ever had. The croissant was fragrant and flaky, while the accompanying salad provided the perfect refreshing balance to cut through the richness.

We rocked up right on 8am - opening time on a Sunday morning, as it was so early there was no atmosphere or barely any staff. Good breakky selection to choose from & coffee was great! Our meals were a good size, two slices of sourdough, a good serving of mushrooms & the hollandaise sauce wasthe avocado on the side was a full on avocado which was deliciously seasoned including chopped tomatoes My only complaint is that the poached eggs were overcooked Lots of indoor & outdoor seating, can’t really comment on the staff/service as we didn’t see any (too early)… Would defs recommend!

This place has the best coffee in Melbourne and also offers a variety of breakfast and lunch items. The service is fast and friendly. It is a great place to enjoy coffee and lunch in Melbourne CBD.

The cafe has good indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of seats. We came here at 2pm on weekday and it is not crowded. We ordered 2 piccolo latte for A$9.60. The coffee is a bit too hot for our liking. The coffee here is darker roasted so it tastes quite bitter as compared to the ones we had at Maker Lt Bourke which is more acidic and also cheaper (A$9).

Dropped by Mellow Beans on a quiet Sunday morning for breakfast. The staff were warm and welcoming, creating a pleasant start to the day. The food was decent—nothing standout, but satisfying enough.

First-time visitor and absolutely loved it! The coffee was perfectly brewed, rich, and smooth, and the breakfast combo was fresh and delicious. Great portion sizes and excellent value. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the experience even better. Will definitely be back!
